We are Maria & Alejo Ramirez, a young couple from Argentina who came to NZ in August 2006 to spend 12 months learning English and travelling around the country. We did, and we enjoyed life in this country so much that we decided to stay longer.
Almost 5 years later, we also decided to start the company we were only dreaming of back in 2006.
In June 2011, a company by the name of "Dulce As Ltd." was being born as a family business under the statement that “Dulce As Ltd. will import its own products (sweets and goodies from Argentina) and these products will be available in our online shop to all people around NZ who are curious enough to dive into a world of new flavours."
Since we set to launch Dulce As Ltd. to the market at the Auckland Food Show 2011, Mido Ramirez (Alejo’s younger brother) joined the company in order to help us to accomplish this goal in such a short time, along with his design partner Lorena Massacane contributing with their designer expertise to give Dulce As Ltd. its actual look. What once was a dream it is now reality in a form of a full operating and structured business. The “History” of Dulce As Ltd. is just starting to be written… -
Company overview
Basically, “Dulce As Ltd.” is a family business dedicated to import sweets and goodies from prestigious and well known suppliers in Argentina. Once these products are in NZ, people can buy them in our online shop www.dulceas.co.nz and receive them via courier at their home or office.
At Dulce As Ltd. we aim to exceed our customers’ expectations by offering them high quality, fresh and well preserved products. That is why the products we import are specially manufactured before exportation; as soon as they come out from the factory, they are shipped from Argentina directly to NZ by Air Freight (rather than by sea freight). Once the products are in NZ, we store them at Dulce As Ltd. specially designed storage, where goods are kept at room temperature all year round. At this stage, our products are ready to be picked up by Fastway Couriers, company we trust all of our deliveries, in order to reach our customers in excellent conditions and as fast as possible.
